So, you may have first heard about shifting on TikTok or Amino as a way to be a student at Hogwarts and be with Draco Malfoy. Or, to gain superpowers within the MCU.
But, I can promise you one thing.
Shifting is poised to be more than a social media and TikTok trend. It will change how we experience life and expand our consciousnesses!
It’s true.
If you’ve ever felt stuck in your life, felt empty inside, or you’ve simply been bored a lot, this is a skill you’re going to want to learn more about because it is a life-changing ability.
So what exactly is shifting?
The concept of shifting really took off during the 2020 stay-at-home era in places such as TikTok (#shifttok), Amino Apps, Reddit, and Wattpad. Its popularity has only continued to grow since then and has been discussed in mainstream publications.
You are likely to encounter several definitions within shifter communities. I’ve done my best to provide the most accurate and succinct definition:
In general, shifting is the act of moving your consciousness from one experience to another, typically to another reality.
Another thing.
When you hear the word shifting used on social media, people are usually referring to the concept of reality shifting which is the act of moving your consciousness from your current reality (CR) to your desired reality (DR), typically for a planned amount of time.
As you can see by the definition, shifting is a truly freeing and consciousness-expanding ability!
Just think of all the possibilities. You can experience parallel Earths, alternate realities with different laws of physics, and even fictional-based realities such as Harry Potter.
Also, I’d like to clarify something.
A common misconception is that shifting is the same as daydreaming or lucid dreaming, but this is not the case.
Lucid dreaming and daydreaming can be distinguished by how they seem which is hazy, immaterial, and feint compared to a real-life experience.
When you shift to a different reality, it looks and feels just as real as the current reality we’re in right now. Anyone who has legitimately shifted will tell you the same thing.
Does shifting actually work?
Yes, by implementing the 5 key principles I discuss in my new book, The Core Essentials of Reality Shifting.
The gist of these principles is one’s willingness to keep a faithful persistence towards a shifting intention, such as “I am shifting now,” and maintaining a routine.
Anyone is able to shift, too.
It doesn’t matter where you were born, what your background is, or what conditions hold you back now, you can experience your desired reality(s) with the right knowledge, application, and skill.
The process of shifting
The shifting process is exciting, and it has four main stages:
First is the preparation stage
During this stage, you are taking steps to lay the foundation for your shifting journey. These steps are faithful persistence towards your shift-related goal(s), choosing where you’re going to shift from, and identifying your DR.
There are two strategies I recommend for identifying your DR:
The Introview Strategy involves the use of sensory visualization towards a brief DR scene to get some basic details you need to start your shifting script.
The Gather & Inspire Strategy involves gathering different elements from media such as photos, videos, books, TV shows etc., that you can draw inspiration from in scripting out your DR.
You can also use both strategies together!
Second, is the shifting type stage
Here you must choose what kind of shifting you will be doing. For reference, here are the most common types:
- Gradual shift. A combination of tinyshifts and larger shifts from your CR that over time gets you to your DR. Each of these shifts can be looked at as “steps” you take before realizing your “goal” which is being in your DR.
- Group shift. When two or more people decide to shift to the same DR together.
- Identity shift. Changing your identity from the old version of yourself to the new version.
- Permashift. The act of moving to a new reality while retaining memories of your old reality and the knowledge of having shifted.
- Respawn. Permashifting without retaining memories of your old reality or the knowledge that you shifted.
- Reality Shift. In general, this is the act of moving one’s consciousness from one reality to another reality, typically for a planned amount of time.
- Tinyshift. When you shift to a reality that is nearly identical to your current reality except with small differences that confirm you are getting closer to your desired reality. This can also be called partial shifting.
- Viewshift. When you shift to another reality as an invisible observer that does not and cannot interact with anything there.
Third, is the scripting stage
During this stage, you create a script that has the essential details of your desired reality along with any images or other media that remind you of your desired reality.
These details include: your name, age, ethnicity, physical attributes, DR location, era, shift duration, and much more.
I’ve put together a shift script template which you can get when you can get here when you sign up for my free shifting newsletter.
Fourth, is the method stage
This is where you choose the technique, way, or system that actually gets you to your desired reality.
If you’re looking for a tutorial on how to shift fast and easily, I’ve made a free guide for you here.
For even more detail, expert methods, scripts, methods, and tips, as well as tackling the nuisances a shifter faces, I recommend reading my book: The Core Essentials of Reality Shifting, which you can get here.
Shifting script
Some say that using a script isn’t needed to shift. While they’re technically right, it’s not ideal. This s because not using a script is like driving blind or not using a map or any kind of directions.
Using a script is ideal for three main reasons:
- Having a script means that you know exactly what to expect in your DR.
- Your script helps you identify and memorize the unique frequency or atmosphere of your DR.
- A script makes shifting more fun and imaginative.
I put together a guide that will help you design a script from scratch. Click here to view it.
Shifting Methods
Using a method is paramount if you want to shift reliably and consistently. This is because without using a method, shifting happens randomly and unreliably, if at all.
Here is a list of powerful shifting methods:
- Julia Method
- Raven Method
- Pillow Method
- Train Method
- Alice in Wonderland Method
- Sunni Method
- ADHD Method
- Tea Party Method
- Elevator Method
- Falling Method
- Staircase Method
- Heartbeat Method
- Piano Method
- Cloneback Method
- Verseluft Method
I created a post that covers 11 of the most powerful and popular shifting methods to shift you to your DR. You can view them through this link.
Most methods can be broken down into two main phases: relaxation and transference.
The first phase, relaxation, involves clearing your conscious mind and preparing it to focus. Meditation while in the starfish position (or whichever sleeping position is most comfortable) is typically used to accomplish this.
The second phase, transference, is the process of moving your consciousness from your CR to your DR. Typically this is done with visualization or affirmations that bring about the unique frequency or atmosphere of your DR, and then entering your DR.
Shifting affirmations
If you’ve been a part of the larger spiritual community or have read a self-help book, you are likely aware of affirmations.
When it comes to shifting, positive affirmations are a great tool for any shifter new or experienced. This is because they can be used to reprogram your subconscious mind when written down, stated, used for subliminals, or all of the above!
Also, affirmations are used to make some shifting methods work or are used in place of a shifting script for those who have trouble with constructing them.
I’ve put together a list of 66 shifting affirmations to help you shift, which you can view through this link.
Additional Shifting Resources
As a passionate and experienced shifter, I have created plenty of resources to help you shift to your DR for as long as you want.
First, there is my blog, the one you’re reading now. I talk about many things such as resources for your creative projects, unique words and names, aesthetics, and of course shifting. You can view all shift-related articles through this page.
My 157-Page book on everything you need to know to shift to the reality of your preference.
